French Classes Even if you are just starting French with us, or if you have a limited background, you can progress with confidence. If your French is at a higher level, enhance your learning with a wide choice of advanced and specialty courses, from Business French to cultural topics. Classes meet mornings or evenings, once or twice a week. Beginner Level 1 Even as a total beginner, you’ll begin speaking French from day one with the innovative communicative approach. Beginner Levels 2 and 3 You may have studied French in the past. With a little help from your teacher, your skills will develop. Intermediate Levels 1 through 3 You may have acquired a survival level and had some opportunity to use your French. Now you’re ready to immerse yourself a bit further and acquire a good working knowledge of the language. The classes listed through this level use the Method “Alter Ego 1” and at the completion of these classes, the student will achieve the level A1 in the Common European and ACTFL standards. Advanced Levels 1 through 3 You have a good working knowledge of French, and now want to work on expanding your knowledge and abilities. The completion of the classes at this level will lead you to level A2 in the Common European and ACTFL standards. Conversation and Specialty Classes: Vous parlez français? L’art et la littérature vous intéressent?...Ou peut–être le français d’affaires? Vous désirez continuer à affiner votre niveau de langue orale et écrite. Niveaux B1-2, C1. Children’s Classes: Our children’s program immerses children ages 5-14 in the French language, allowing them to learn in a natural way, through visual, kinetic and auditive experience. Saturday morning classes, divided according to age and level in French, meet in seven-week sessions, at either 9:30 or 11:15. Tuition is $175 for the 7-week session: Upcoming sessions: Feb. 25-April 7 and April 14-June 2, 2012. In June and July, we’ll offer more intensive 3-week summer camps (M-Th 9:30-noon) for children. Private Lessons: For those who prefer to work one-on-one with a teacher, or whose schedule requires more flexibility. These classes may be customized to fit your specific needs. $45 per hour. French at Your Desk: For individuals in the business community who prefer instruction at their office, and companies considering an on-site language training course. $50 per hour, with discounts for longer contracts and more students.
For group classes, members and seniors receive a $10 discount per session. There is also a $10 discount for early registration (two weeks before the end of the previous session) Please register by the first day of class, as many classes fill up before the session begins. There is a one-time registration fee of $25 for new students ($15 for children.)
